For the community’s awareness, the training is as follows. Please note, all training dates are subject to change based on environmental and other factors:

-Feb. 17-18: Marine Corps mortar training -Feb. 17-21: Army artillery training -Feb. 22-23: Army demolitions training -Feb. 26: Army artillery training

Additionally, the 25th Infantry Division is conducting a large-scale exercise called Lightning Forge, Jan. 25 – Feb. 9, utilizing multiple training areas on Oahu and Hawaii Island. Updated announcements regarding exercise-related noise and convoys will be released separately, as available.

Should individuals hear noise, there is no immediate danger. Weather, such as overcast conditions, can increase noise and vibrations.

The military services in Hawaii appreciate the community’s understanding and continued support of local service members and families. While sometimes loud, the sounds of training represent how the military ensures the nation’s service members are ready to accomplish the mission and return home safely.

To report concerns related to noise or training, community members can call the U.S. Army Garrison-Hawaii (USAG-HI) Noise Concern Line at (808) 656-3487 or email usaghi.comrel@gmail.com.
